Coaching

One-off sessions are suitable:

  • for advanced students who come up with specific assignments - preparation for a competition, recording studio, preparation for a concert,
  • for those who want to try the session first,
  • for students who prefer irregular sessions.

Packages of 5 and 10 sessions are limited with time, see above.

BASIC SIF RULES

BEING LATE

In case you know that you will be late in advance, inform your coach. He is expecting you and he might get worried.

In such cases, unfortunately, we cannot extend the lesson as there are people who have a lesson scheduled right after you. We kindly ask you to really do get to your lesson on time (even in traffic!)

CANCELING A LESSON

You can cancel a scheduled lesson by texting or emailing your coach by 9 AM the day before your scheduled lesson, no charge. If you cancel any later, the price of the lesson will be deducted in full.

In case of cancelling the lesson by the coach, it will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

SUBSTITUTING A LESSON

If a coach cannot make it to a lesson, he will find an alternative date or will ensure that the lesson takes place with another SIF coach. Each of the coaches is an active singer and it is possible that a performance, shooting, workshop comes up or he is sick. At the same time, we do wish that your training dord not get interrupted as it is important to work on your skills continuously. Our coaches are great mentors and they are happy to help with your training.

VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS

 If you know that you are leaving somewhere, do please let us know in advance so that we can offer your time slots to another student who might appreciate an extra lesson. If you know that you will not be able to attend a lesson for an extended period of time (e.g. a month), you do not lose your subscription and the training will recommence once you are back.

If you are leaving for more than two months we recommend you take individual lessons only and after you are a back, you can commit to a subscription plan.

The lessons do take place over the holidays (apart from December 22nd - 26th and December 30th - January 2nd), but you can always check in with your coach. In case you need to train in within the dates mentioned above, ask your coach for an individual plan.

PAYMENTS AND TIMELY SUBSCRIPTIONS

Whether you opted for individual lessons or a subscription plan and you have scheduled your first lesson, it is necessary to send the payment 2 days before starting your training at the latest. In case our money does not reach our account in time, the student does not have claim for the lesson to take place.

Do keep track of how many lessons you have prepaid and how many you have attended. As soon as the second last paid lesson takes place and you wish to continue your training, don't forget to send another payment. We recommend checking our website if some of our conditions have changed (prices, number of lessons etc). You will, of course, always be informed about the end of your prepaid period by your coach, but it is always better to have two sides keeping track.

CODE OF ETHICS

The student does not attend a lesson under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.

Student is aware of his health and does not jeopardize his coach and the other students. In case of a viral infection or other contagious diseases (tonsilitis, the flu, skin disease) do tell your coach. Check in with your doctor or your coach if it is advisable to attend the lesson. In such cases, it is, of course, possible to cancel the lesson.

SHOWS / SINGING IS FUN'S EVENTS / RECORDING STUDIO / INDIVIDUAL TRAINING

We hold seminars and workshops apart from individual singing lessons. In case you are interested, ask your coaches or follow our facebook page. You will also be added to the group "Students of SIF" to stay up to date.

Thanks to SIF, you can attend an array of events and shows we hold for students. We don't want you to just sing in the shower. We want you to try out a real stage, in front of people so that you can try out how you are doing and where there is still room for improvement. Check with your coach about how you can sign up for these, what the handle till then and how to prepare.

As a part of your training, you can also record in a real recording studio, gain new experience and take the result with you on a flash drive. Note that the recording studio is not a part of a standard subsription plan. Only a student who has passed a certain amount of training with us, has a specific song prepared for the occassion can take advantage of this offer. Check with your coach for prices and more information.

Every student can obtain a SIF certificate which serves as proof of what the student has achieved already (see bulletin board in the classroom). Check with your coach to find out how far are you from getting a certificate proving you have reached the next level.

If you have nowhere to practice, you are disturbing your neighbors with your singing or you don't own a mic, we have a room for you to practice in even without your coach. This offer is available only for our students. Here, you can practice with a piano, mic, music background or an acoustic guitar. Only one student can be there at a time. SIF COACHES

You have the option to choose your mentor.
We all pass the same training process so that the lessons are continuous and we can give you maximum care. Each coach, however, is also unique. It is up to you who you feel comfortable with.

We do encourage you to try out more coaches, all you have to do is let us know in advance. It can have positive effect on your singing. Sometimes, it's only HOW a certain thing is explained to you that you really get it.

If you have your own show, a contest or recording sessions, you can ask your coach for help of course. Every lessons is tailored to your individual needs. We have a plan of progress prepared for each student but if there is something that requires special attention, let us know so that we can adjust your training.

If you practice at home and you are not sure it's right, make an arrangement with your coach that you may send him a demo. The coach will get back to you as soon as possible to help you. Do, however, keep in mind that the coach does this on his own time and send only short recordings.
